Working the Zoo Membership

Although you may be tired of my visits to the zoo, I am not....I love it! Thursday I went with my friends to feed the animals lunch and play in the petting zoo. It was so nice to enjoy a crisp fall morning outside with my friends!

Usually the bunny just sits in one spot and sleeps, but this time she was hopping all around the pen. We had so much fun watching and calling out to her. In retrospect, I think we may have been scaring her...

Here is Marci loading us up with goodies for the sheep and goats. Now that I am a little older and wiser, I know that the pellets are for the animals and not for me!

Give the Lady a Boo

Here's another video of Mommy being a riot again. This time the T-Man experienced it as well. If she wasn't so much fun, I might be embarrassed of her.

Mansion of Toys

While in Philadelphia we visited Smith Kids' Play Place in Fairmont Park. Not only was there a 40ft. slide, but there was also a mansion filled with toys and a great playground. Here we are in Smithville stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Big T went with the convertible to pick up chicks and I went for the more sensible sedan.

I had so much fun going down the great big slide. It is by far the highest and longest slide I've ever been on. Mommy was a little nervous for me, but I loved it!

After playing so hard at the Play Place, I took a 30 minute refresher in the car on the way home. Mommy was hoping was a full-on nap, but as we all know, I regulate my own naps and I was too excited to sleep the whole car ride home.

Here we are congratulating each other on a successful trip. Thanks to T-Man and Co. for a fun-filled weekend. It wouldn't have been the same without them!

Franklin Square

After Pete's inspiring talk about liberty and independence, we all went for some fun at Franklin Square. The whole square was decorated for Halloween, which got me very excited for my costume.

We also got a chance to catch up with our good friend Gita that we know from Chicago. This was my first time meeting her and she had me at hello....

It was a wonderful afternoon to be outside and Franklin Square was so much fun. Here we are showing the Elmos the mesmerizing fountain and trying to figure out how to get in for a couple splashes.

Breaking Into the Bell

After a nice nap for us and bananagrams for our parents, we went to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. We were all so surprised at how small the bell was.

Thank goodness it was already broken, because after another covert operation, all fingers might have been pointed in my direction. We both wanted to get better look at the bell to see why it was special. I got Big T to distract Daddy while I tried to break through.

After that operation failed, our new strategy was to overwhelm Daddy with our presence so that at least one of us could get up close and personal. Here is Big T going for the gold....

In the end we never made it, but Daddy said that Pete majored in US History so he would explain it to us later. Here I am enjoying a great view of Independence Hall from the bell.

Touch & Feel Museum

Our first stop in Philly was at the Please Touch Museum. It was the best museum I've ever been to! Here are some of the highlights. I got to operate heavy machinery, with minimal adult supervision...

Play with Floam.....I know, it sounds strange and felt even stranger. So strange that I didn't even want to try putting it in my mouth.

I got to play the BIG piano and rock some of my skills....

But best of all, I got to sail the SS Tom Beckett. I had so much fun steering and riding the waves up and down.

Weekend Road Trip

The Mommies decided that the city of brotherly love would make a great first road trip. So we packed up the minivan and off we went. Unfortunately for my fellow travelers I got sick, so we were all forced to evacuate and Purell my area of the car half way into the ride.

It was a long evening for us with the unexpected pit stop and all, so by the time we got to the hotel it was late and I was a little out of sorts. I wasn't sure if it was bedtime or time to play...

Mommy must have thought it was bedtime because she got me ready for bed. Not surprisingly, Big T and I had a very different thought. Here we are playing in the hallway and being corralled by Sara.

The Daddies had the brilliant idea of a sleepover, so here was the set up they concocted. The baby monitor app on the iPhone was a great find by Sara, if only I would have cooperated for them. Long story short, sleepover attempt #1 failed miserably, but all subsequent attempts allowed the Mommies and Daddies to get their fill of Bananagrams.
