Mama's Cheese

As we all know I love cameras so much that my parents bought me my own. Since it has gone missing this last week, I have had to make do with Mommy's. I sat at the head of the table at when we had a big family dinner in Florida. Here is a picture I took of everyone.

Today at dinner I took pictures of my friends. Can you guess who this is? That's right its Big T telling me to aim my "cheese" a little higher. I should have listened this time.....

Looks like I got the aim right with Enzo, but caught my finger.....oh well, I'm still learning.

Hammock Pines

I came down to Florida to visit Yiayia, Pappou and some of my cousins for a nice long weekend in the sun. I think I broke one of the Hammock Pines tennis court rules by not wearing tennis shoes while posing for this picture.

My cousin Ambrosio had a lot of fun playing pool boy. So when he left I stepped into the role and used the broom to sweep up around the pool. Who knew it would be the most popular toy!

The pool temp was exactly the way I like it, warm like bath water. Daddy and I had lots of fun in the pool. I've missed a couple swim classes, so I was glad to get back in and practice my strokes.

After I went to bed Mommy and Daddy went out with the cousins for a fun night out. I had so much fun with everyone and can't wait to see them again soon!

Flashback Sundays

Around this time last year I got my first tooth! It was a strange feeling and kept me up a couple nights, but it all worked out for the best. Here is Mommy trying to get a picture of the lone tooth...

I also had my first bite of banana cake at Harrison's 1st birthday party. My first tooth became a sweet tooth!

The first time I went to Lindsay's house for playgroup I met her riding giraffe and fell in love. I was a little nervous at first, but as you can see I had so much fun.

Firefighter Narinn

One of my favorite past times is to sit on my perch and watch for fire trucks. Every time I hear them I run to the window to catch a glimpse of them. I get very upset when I hear them but don't see them, which happens often. Here I am wearing the hat in hopes that it will beckon one to come down the street.

Dada Work

Last week I had my first visit to Daddy's office. Elmo and I had a lot of fun playing with the recycling bin when I wasn't helping Daddy out with his work.

He has a great view, so I checked over his work right in front of the window.

Here I am giving him his work back with my mark ups. He's pretty thorough, so I didn't have many comments. Good work Daddy.

Playgroup Fun

Yesterday afternoon Mommy braved the snow for a couple blocks for playgroup at Sophie's house. It always starts with one and ends up with everyone in the crib! We all loved getting our jumps out.

After all the jumping we all needed a little breather from the workout and all the giggles.

We were all tuckered out from all the fun, so here we are waiting to get rescued by a Mommy. I'm not sure if they were pretending not to notice or if they were enjoying the fact that we were all contained for a little bit....

P'Quentin

This morning I rode the subway to visit P'Quentin. After playing with his train table all morning we went into the hall where he showed me his scooter.

We had so much fun going up and down the hallways. I was a little nervous to try the scooter so I just pushed the car after him.

P'Quent is so fast on his scooter, I had trouble keeping up with him! I had so much fun today and am sad to miss his 2nd birthday on Saturday. Happy Birthday P'Quentin!

Charles In Charge

A couple weeks ago Mommy went to visit Joany and 2 week old Charlie. I am pretty germ-y so I didn't get to tag-along. Mommy said that Charlie is very strong and loves tummy time. Doesn't Joany look great? We will miss them when they move away, but plan to visit them next time we are down south.

When Elmo Grows Up

This morning I went to Madison Square Garden to see Elmo's show about what he wants to be when he grows up. At first I thought the subway ride was the best part of the day, but then the show started and I realized that it was so much better!

I was very interested in cotton candy when I saw it hanging from the tall poles, but given Mommy's recent trips to the dentist it was out of the question. I did get to enjoy some yummy popcorn instead.

I loved the show and think that Mommy and Daddy did too! I can't wait until Elmo comes back again soon.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today I gave Daddy his Valentine's Day present and he was so excited. Here I am checking to make sure Mommy put the right picture in the frame. I was so proud to give it to him this year.

I know that it's a little late to be asking, but will you be my Valentine?

Flashback Sundays

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Last year I did a lot of celebrating with my friends. Blake had a great party at his house where we all wore red and all the Mommies at lots of candy.

Then I went to Sophie's house for playgroup later in the week. Here we all are taking another famous crib picture.

It was unseasonably warm this time last year which was great for me because I got to go swinging without getting all bundled up.

I celebrated the real Valentine's Day in Florida last year visiting Yiayia, Pappou and all my other cousins. The weather was not great, so this was the only visit to the pool that I made. Hopefully this year I will get more sun!

Chinese New Year's Celebration

Today I met Gemma at Mandarin class and then went on to the New Year's celebration! I was so excited to watch the lion dance. Some of the other big kids did the lion dance by themselves, but I'm still a little one so I watched.

Here is my teacher doing the lion dance while we all play our drums. I was a little nervous when the lion got close, but then Mommy reminded me that Lao Shi was underneath and then everything was okay.

After the lion dance I went to make dumplings with Mommy. Here I am with my new friends listening to Lao Shi explain how to make them. I was very focused because I wanted to remember all the instructions for Sassy.

I ended up making three with diced celery and carrots. My favorite part was dipping my finger in the water to seal the dumplings. I thought it was pretty easy to make, so I'm thinking of making them for my friends soon. I just have to make sure Mommy helps me get the ingredients!

Valentine's Date

This afternoon Grace came over for our Valentine's date. I had so much fun showing her my barn and my Color Wonder markers. Here we are getting all snugly and reading some books. I think she liked the Valentine I made for her because she gave me a nice big hug at the end of our date.

Who Dat

In honor of the Super Bowl Champs Daddy made this video. I'm not sure who is funnier to listen to....Mommy thinks it is definitely Daddy.

Special Delivery

Yesterday I helped Mommy take the mail out to our mailman. I had a lot of special cards to deliver, so she put them all in a bag for me. At first I tried to carry the bag, but it was too heavy, so I ended up dragging the bag down the hall.

I was so proud of myself for getting all 200 cards to the elevator without any of them falling out.

Here I am waiting patiently for the elevator to get downstairs. I was very bashful when I met the mailman, so I gave Mommy the cards to give to him and then ran away to see Edwin, my favorite doorman.

Flashback Sundays

Last year I took a Little Maestros class with all my friends. Lance was my favorite teacher because he was always rocking out on the guitar and even appeared on an episode of Mercy. As always, my favorite part of class was when Lance, Kenneth and Jordan would play mood music while Abby blew bubbles.

You've seen quite a few pictures of me painting pottery this year, so here is a snap from last years trip to MAKE. As you can see I was much less involved then and Mommy was very nervous about the booster seat.

It must have been a busy week last year because I also made it to my first trip to MoMA with my friends. Here we are having lunch at the restaurant.

My Funny Valentine

Earlier this week we made valentines for all of our friends. It was another Big Boy Project that turned into a Mommy one. I think the mommies had more fun making the valentines than we did, but we definitely had more fun making a mess than they did!

My favorite parts about making valentines were the glue stick, the stickers and the eyes that went on the valentine bugs. Here I am working on sticking the eyes on a valentine creature Mommy helped me make.

When I figured out that the round things were eyes, I remembered that eyes belong on my face. I thought four eyes are better than two, so here I am. I can't wait to give all my friends their valentines!

A Little Push From My Friend

Big T came over the other day for a nap and some play. We out numbered Mommy after our naps, so she let us play in the hall after we tried to break out many, many time. When we struggled to share the stroller, Mommy came up with this brilliant idea.

Every time I thought that Big T was getting tired, he just kept plugging along. When he would stop for a break I would say, "dis way" and point down the hall. I think he really worked those pipes because we made so many trips up and down the hall.

Here I am enjoying every minute of my ride. I did return the favor later in the day, but instead of plugging along when I got tired, I just asked Mommy to push for me. Thanks Big T.

Pizza Party

I offered to make pizza for my friends at home the other day and they all thought it was a great idea, so we had a pizza party. Big Cow likes her pizza spicy, so here I am putting more red pepper on another slice for her.

George was so excited for pizza that he ate more than his share! Here he is eating two slices at one time. I tried to tell him to slow down, but he wouldn't listen and in the end he had a belly ache.

Mommy wasn't hungry so she let me have her slice. Mmmmm, I must say I make a delicious pizza with all the fixing!
