New Year's Eve Fundue
This evening Big T & Co. came over for a fondue New Year's Eve celebration. Who wouldn't want to send out 2009 with a little cheese and chocolate? I was so excited until I realized that I wasn't going to get a chance to participate in the "fundue." A little sad to miss out, we went to say night, night to the tree before we went to bed.
We thought that we could stay up a little longer if we looked cute and posed in our pajamas next to the tree. It worked for a little, but this was the best picture Mommy got, so off to bed before the ball drop for us. Hope everyone is having a safe and fun New Year's Eve, see you in 2010!

Xmas Thai Style
On my way to Toledo from Yiayia's house we made a stop at Yai Ead's house to celebrate Christmas Thai style. It was my first time meeting a monk, let alone eight, so I was very bashful at first.
Mommy was nervous that I would not sit through the blessing, but once again I brought out my A-game and Pa Janejai was there to keep me occupied too. My favorite part was after the blessing when everyone gave alms and paid respects to the monks. Here I am on my first round with Mommy.
It was so much fun that I went around a second time, but this time with Daddy. This was my first Christmas Thai style and it was so much fun!

30 Candles
Today we celebrated Daddy's 30th birthday with a special taco dinner and homemade cake. Mommy really outdid herself this time. Here she is with her masterpiece trying not to get candle wax everywhere.
Here's a picture of my Daddy at age 30. I think he looks older and wiser, but Mommy thinks he just looks older.
Daddy said he needed some help blowing out the candles, so I went over to assist. Here I am wondering if the candles would set off the fire alarm. You know my motto, safety first.
Here we are ready for some birthday cake. Last year I didn't get my own piece, but this year I did! Happy birthday Daddy!

Flashback Sundays
I spent last Christmas in Florida enjoying the sun and warm weather. It was my first visit to the beach and my first time swimming. There was a snow storm that week too, so Mommy and I spent our first day at the hotel without Daddy. This is the picture we sent him when we got the news. Mommy told me to make a sad face, but I was so happy to be on the beach!
Here I am taking my first dip in the pool with Daddy. I was nervous at first, but really enjoyed the warm water.
I used to wake up pretty early in the morning, so while we were in Florida, Daddy and I would go for walks around the resort and along the beach. Here I am eating a dirty rope while Daddy gets a beautiful picture of the sunrise.
The ocean was really cold compared to the pool, so I just went to visit and dip my feet in a couple times. I also didn't know what to make of the sand, my feet kept sinking!
Thank goodness I visited Santa to let him know that I would be at the hotel on Christmas day. Otherwise he may not have found me...

But he did! Here I am Christmas morning with some of my presents. I had so much fun with the paper and the ribbon that I didn't even realize my presents were inside!

Iron Chef
Our parents all enjoy cooking and friendly competition, so Enzo, Big T and I all decided that we would do an Iron Chef competition to make them proud. Here I am getting familiar with all my tools and trying to stay a step ahead.
Big T took a little bit of a break to clear his head....
Enzo had the best tactic which was to stay in the corner where no one could see what he was doing. In the end, our parents were so proud that we played so nicely together and managed not to break anything. I hope they will make us proud in their endeavors!

Fun With Frosty's Friend
Yesterday morning I went out with Big T to play in the snow. The mommies were very excited that we really played this time. Here I am in my snow gear and getting used to the crunch underneath my feet.
I love Frosty, so I asked one of the snowmen I met in Sheep's Meadow if he was in the neighborhood. Unfortunately Frosty wasn't able to come play with us, but he said he would love to play.
We all became such good friends in the park that morning. Snowman was saying he needed to slim down a little, so we helped him shed a little snow with Big T's kitchen utensils.
We maybe got a little too friendly horsing around with Snowman because all of a sudden he was in need of a little surgery from the mommies. In the end he didn't look quite the same, but we made a new friend and realized that we do like snow. That's a success in Mommy's book!

Let it Snow
When I woke up Sunday morning and looked out my perch, everything was white. Over eager as my parents were, we went out to play in the snow first thing in the morning. This was my second reaction, after crying when Daddy threw me in the snow.
After I got over my initial toss into the snow, I started to not mind it at all, but I was still very suspicious of it. Daddy heard that we got around 10 inches in Central Park! Here I am all bundled up with Mommy.
So I didn't really play in the snow on Sunday, instead I really just observed it. Mommy and Daddy are hoping that I will start to like it more soon so we can all make snow angels!

Flashback Sundays
Last year at around this time I was drinking mostly milk and I was just starting to add purees to my diet. Mommy gets concerned that not much has changed since then and that I've replaced purees with crackers. Here I am taking a little milk break.
I always hated tummy time, so here I am working very hard to avoid it. It looks like I am thinking about crawling, but it would still be a couple weeks until I figured it out.
This was one of the best toys that Mommy didn't have to buy for me. Back then it started out as a toy I liked to chew on and now I love to push all the buttons.

I U Dinos
One of my favorite bedtime books is How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You?. Every time I see the book I say, "I u dino." So the love was definitely flowing when we went to the Natural History Museum on a chilly afternoon this week.
For a while I thought that the dino tails were train tracks, but Mommy straightened me out. I had fun visiting all the dinos and telling them I loved them.

Most Wonderful Place In Grand Central
After french class the other day the mommies took us on a mini-adventure to Grand Central. We had no idea what to expect, but it was one of the best adventures of the year.
We saw the train show at the transit store and it did not disappoint. There were so many different trains that passed through tunnels, skyscrapers, mountains, the Brooklyn Bridge and even a mini Grand Central. I was in heaven.
I have a new love of all things train-related, so all I could say was "choo choo" and "choo choo coming." I spent my time running around the display following the trains. Mommy has never seen me more excited!

Mini Playgroup
We had to postpone the mommy cookie exchange until next week because so many of my friends were not feeling well. So instead we had a mini playgroup at our apartment. It was just baby Cole and us three rascals.
Being the rascal that I am, I decided to dump all my Big Bird crackers on the ground because it was easier than reaching into the box. Mommy owes Jaye a big thanks for vacuuming up the big mess.

Big Day Boo Boo
As many of you know, I am in the midst of applying for nursery school for next year. The other day I had a playdate, but knocked my eye on a bucket and had to go looking like a baby thug. Mommy was extremely nervous about how rough I looked.
Fortunately, we put together a very sharp outfit and I could not have looked more handsome given my condition.
I took the knock really well and had full use of my eye. Here I am showing off my famous winking abilities with a bum eye.

Decorating The Tree
Over the weekend we listened to Christmas music and decorated our tree. Its the first tree we've ever had, so we were all very excited. Here I am helping Daddy put the lights on.
After I helped Daddy with the lights, I worked with Mommy on arranging the ornaments. She made sure to put the fragile ones at the top. While I made sure to put the fun ones at the bottom where I can play with them.
We are all so proud of our beautiful tree, it was great teamwork!

Flashback Sundays
Look at what a chunk-ster I used to be! Before we got the highchair Mommy would feed me in the bouncy seat.
Here is a snap of the first time Mommy hosted playgroup at our house. We used to just sit and play and then take a nap while the mommies had fun. Now we get into a sorts of trouble and there is no down time for the mommies.
We all used to go for lunch after Little Maestros class on Fridays. Sometimes I could wait until I got home, or at least in my stroller for my nap, but it looks like this day the highchair made a good substitute.

Brunch At Home
Michael and Rachel came over for a bagel brunch today and I had so much fun catching up with my number one fan. Michael was happy to come over because he loves Christmas trees and Daddy said he could hang an ornament up. Here he is putting up the mouse, he could barely contain his excitement.
After brunch, I really bonded with Michael. We had a good time reading about good New York City walks with kids and looking at all the funny pictures.
We had so much fun together that my number one fan felt a little left out...
But I still love her. Here we are having a bye bye hug before I take my nap.

Gold Star
When Daddy does nice things for Mommy she likes to tell him that he deserves a gold star or a yummy cookie. So the other evening, it was our turn and we gave her a gold star for our Christmas tree. Here I am admiring how sparkly it is.
I was so impressed by the sparkles that all I could say was ooohhhh and aaahhhh. I showed Daddy what a beautiful star it was and was very excited when he told me that I could put it on the tree.
Daddy and I make such a great team, he does all the heavy lifting and I do all the work that requires little hands. Here we are getting the star on the tree on our first try. I can't wait to decorate the tree this weekend!
