Flashback Sundays

It would be another month before I learned how to crawl, but at around this time last year tummy time became a walk in the park and there were no protests involved.

Mommy and I spent a lot of time at Gymboree last year. Here I am posing for a picture after class with all my friends.

When we needed to get out of the house, we would go to play gym. I wasn't crawling or walking yet, but loved to play on the equipment. Here I am with Sophie munching on some yummy fingers.

A big yawn after returning from a fun filled day out and about with Mommy.

Build-A-Bear BDay

Today I went to my friend Jake's 2nd birthday party at Build-A-Bear. It was my first time there and I was a little overwhelmed, but when I found out I was taking home a new friend I was thrilled.

It was so much fun making my own bear and getting him dressed. The first thing I did was give him a heart. He actually has two because I kept giving him hearts and Mommy couldn't get them all out. Here I am giving him a special wish.

The next step was to stuff him with love by stepping on a pedal. I was initially intrigued and then when I heard a vacuum cleaner sound I was, "all done pedal."

After he was stuffed, with Daddy's help, I gave him a shower and a nice brush. I loved brushing him, but the shower sounded like a hair dryer, so I was all done with that pretty quickly too.

Here I am giving my new friend a kiss before I pick out his outfit. There were so many different outfits to choose from. I went with the navy and orange track suit because I like zippers.

After we finish getting our new friends dressed we had pizza and cupcakes! I never pass up either so I was very excited.

I had such a blast at Jake's birthday party, I hope mine will be just as fun! Thanks Jake!

Say Cheese

As most of you know I recently sent Mommy's camera to electronics heaven. Daddy's solution to the problem was to buy me my own camera! Mommy's not so sure what kind of message it sends, but hopefully her new camera will live a long and happy life.

It is now one of my favorite presents ever. Here I am rolling around in bed with my new sidekick.

Mommy thought it would be funny to load me up with a memory card and see what kind of pictures I take. Here is my first self-portrait.

This is my first picture of Mommy, doesn't she look so nice. Mommy also found out that I took my first video at playgroup! Now Mommy doesn't have to be the only one who takes pictures for my blog!

Big Boy Bed = Big Fun

We had playgroup at Caleb and Connor's house this week and I had so much fun playing with all their toys. Although something else caught my eye when I went into their bedroom. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to get a big boy bed.

It was so cool! No rails, no confinement it was perfection. Sophie loved the those same things about it as well. Here we are, three monkeys all having lots of giggles in the bed.

When the rest of our friends heard how much fun we were having they all came to join in. I'm not sure how we all fit, but we did! I can't wait to get my own.

Burger Joint Dinner

Daddy went to work first thing Sunday morning, so after a long rainy day indoors I needed out, no offense Mommy. I broke out and met Teddy & Co. for some burgers and good music. Here I am enjoying a delicious black and white shake and Daddy hoping that I leave some for him....I did, but just a little.

I am fascinated with cameras, or as I call them cheeses, now. Every time Mommy uses it I have to have it. This new passion of mine has lead to the untimely loss of Mommy's trusty camera. Here is the last picture we have from our good friend.

Expressions of Love

Last year, Mommy and I went with all our friends in a mad dash to make presents for Valentine's Day, so this year she wanted to stay ahead of the game. I did much better this time since I can stand on my own and am not obsessed about putting everything in my mouth.

I took my job very seriously and wanted I expressed my unique style on everything. I had a lot of fun creating all my masterpieces. We had so much fun together this time, I can't wait to do it again soon!

Flashback Sundays

Last year I celebrated inauguration day with some friends at my apartment. Here I am cheering with the crowd.

Here I am with Blake at Gymboree enjoying a nice boat ride.

I was just getting used to solids, but I already knew that the Baby Mum Mums were and still are my favorite rice cracker. They can definitely ruin breakfast, lunch or dinner still.

Another playgroup picture! Back then we weren't as mobile as we are today, so it was easy to get us to sit for a quick snap. Although getting us to all look was a different story.

Giggle aka My Indoor Playground

This afternoon I went over to the eastside to play at Giggle while Mommy took care of some things. I always have so much fun playing there, but today was extra special because a salesperson gave me a toy to ride on.

I had so much fun riding it all around the store from end to end. Mommy was happy that I wasn't pulling things off the shelves and I was happy to be out of my stroller.

Did I mention that Big T was there too on his own riding toy. We had so much fun chasing after each other through the store. Here I am waiting for him to catch up to me.

I loved the toy so much that I sat on it while I cooked at the stove. Here I am chopping some carrots for a stew. Thanks Big T and Giggle for another fun-filled afternoon!

Daddy's Day Off

Daddy didn't have to work on Monday which made me so happy. We started out our day with french class. As we all know Daddy's french is much better than Mommy's, so it was a completely different experience. After learning about le grand chat and le petit chat we made a mask together.

I worked up quite and appetite, so I was very excited for snack time when Mariane gave me some biscuits.

Somehow that didn't quench Daddy's appetite or mine so we went to Bouchon for some lunch. Here we both are enjoying our ice cream sundaes.

I love spending time with Daddy, especially when it involves ice cream!

Feeding Sophie La Girafe

At the Miami Zoo I got to feed the giraffes. My parents were nervous that I would be a little scared, but I wasn't at all and had so much fun. I couldn't believe how long their tongues are. Mommy said my eyelashes are almost as long as theirs!

Rain Out

Our last day in Miami called for rain, but it was warmer and less windy than all the previous days, so my parents weren't sure what to do.

I could smell the rain on my walk on the beach that morning, so I told them to pack up the car and find us something to do inside. I was pretty upset that I would not get to go swimming again.

Thank goodness they are good listeners because it rained for the better part of the day. Daddy drove us to Sawgrass Mills Mall where we had some lunch, did a little shopping and visited Wannado City. Here we are having lunch at Paul, one of Daddy's favorite places in Paris.

I did a little shopping with Daddy in the men's department looking for a sports jacket. In the end we had no luck.

After shopping we all went to Wannado City. Its a place for kids to try out all different types of jobs from firefighter, or cook, or even news broadcaster. Here I am shopping with the Big Brother tracking device on my leg.

I tried working at the Miami Herald for a little bit. Here I am running the printing press. Everything was a little too old for me this time around, but maybe in a couple years I would have more fun!

Miami Zoo

We had another windy and cloudy day on our vacation. So Yiayia and Pappou decided to take us to the Miami Zoo after a trip to the playground.

I had so much fun visiting all the animals. Here I am with Pappou saying hi to the elephants. They are "big ones," as I like to say.

At the petting zoo I met Itsy, the pig. She was so calm and loved it when I brushed her. I giggled a lot when she made her pig noises.

I also made friends with Cilantro, who was a little frightened of me. Although, she was the bravest among her other brothers and sisters who clung to the wall and wanted nothing to do with me.

Here I am inspecting Henrietta Hippo's teeth to see if she has any cavities...

Monkeys and gorillas are my favorite animals right now. I like to imitate the noises they make while tapping my chest. I could not get enough of them at the zoo and was very upset every time we left them.

Flashback Sundays

Last year at around this time I learned how to pull myself up. Daddy was so excited that he made this video. As you can see, I was extremely proud of myself!

Windy Weather

After breakfast yesterday, Mommy and I went for a nice dip in the pool. I love to swim, especially when the pool is warm like my bath tub. I put all my lessons to good use when I accidentally went under on my own.

Daddy has been sick all week and feeling miserable even in the warmer weather. We were all very sad for him. Here he is taking a nap by the pool wearing his sweater and swim trunks while we went swimming.

While Daddy rested, Mommy and I went for a windy walk on the beach. At first I was not a huge fan of the sand, but after a nice relaxing walk along the beach I didn't mind it so much.

Since it was a little too windy in the afternoon to go swimming, we went to the Miami Seaquarium with Yiayia and Pappou. Recently, I became a huge fan of dolphins, so I was very excited to go. Here I am watching them swim and play. It was the highlight of my day.
