Vive La France

Mommy decided that I needed a language that was more widely spoken than Thai or Greek, so off we went to my first French class. I would have preferred to go with Daddy because I wasn't confident in Mommy's French skills, so I went in disguise just in case she embarrassed me.

There was no need for the disguise when I realized that Big T. was also in my class. He straightened me out about my nose, so I was pretty sure he would help me again if I needed it. Here we are walking to class like big boys.

We did an art project with our teacher Mariane. Here I am carfully listening to her explain how to use glue stick and tissue paper since it was my first time. I had a so much fun in class today that I can't wait to go back again next week!

Sunday, Rainy Sunday

We have had so much rain in the city this year. Rainy Sundays can be so much fun because I get to stay in my pajamas most of the day, play with all my toys without having to clean up and most importantly do an art project.

Mommy was a little less brave than usual, so we used Crayola Wonder Paper instead of real paint. It was so cool to dip my fingers in the clear gel and then watch the colors show up on the paper. Although Mommy loved my artwork, she was even more impressed by the non-existent mess I made.

When the rain cleared up in the afternoon, Daddy took a break from work and took me out for some fresh air. We went to F.A.O. Schwartz for a little, where I had so much fun running around playing with all the toys. Here I am getting ready to board the train to Hogwarts.

Flashback Sundays

This is how excited Mommy was that I could sit alone. Daddy and I think she's wonderful, but that doesn't mean she isn't a riot sometimes, I mean just listen to her....

Little Martha

Yesterday the Globe Trotter family got one stronger with the addition of baby Luca to their family. We are all so happy for them. Here is my favorite Colombian at her baby shower. I think Luca will love all the wonderful gifts he received!

The Globe Trotters decided to walk to the hospital, so I thought I would show my support as they walked by our building. Here I am carrying my sign to the elevator.

Daddy and I waited outside for them to pass by. Everyone on the street liked my sign and wondered who Martica, Guillame and Enzo were. I told everyone they were famous celebrities.

I got worried because we came down a little late and thought we might have missed them. But all of a sudden we saw them down the block and got very excited. We are so happy for our friends and wish them all the joy in the world!!

Giggle Jam Session

I went to the eastside the other day to run some errands with Mommy. We stopped by Giggle for an impromptu jam session.

Mommy contemplated buying this chair for me, but then thought twice when she talked to Daddy.

Daddy thought it might be a good idea to call Justin and Marcus up for some pointers, but I think I would hold my own though with them....

Always A King

The other day I had so much fun getting all dressed up in full regalia and living up to my names at gym class. Most people don't know this, but both my names mean the same thing, king. Here I am playing the part.

I decided to take a short break from being King to play with the guitar.

After making the tour and greeting all the Mommies, my escort helped me down the stairs to get back to work.

Spin Cycle

Emily and I both share a love for Elmo, so I was excited to go over to her house today and play with all her Elmo toys. I figured I would help Regina do some laundry to show my appreciation. Here I am working the machine while my photogenic friends posed for a picture.

As always, when there is a potential for some action, I get Big T involved. Here he is trying to help me get the washing machine started. Em does this all the time, so she decided to keep posing for the camera.

There was no lack of effort in trying to help Regina, but we still couldn't manage to get it started and in the end had to get the professional involved.

For all my good work, Mommy rewarded me with a treat after dinner. Here I am making my monkey face.

Mommy's Trash, My Treasure

Recently I found a great new friend in the recycling bin and tried to take to bed with me last night. I call him Moo, since he has a cow on him. After a mini dispute with Mommy, I snuggled with Elmo instead, but I dreamt about him all night. Here we are together, first thing in the morning.

I love to twist his cap on and off, and keep Mommy on her toes by sometimes putting it in my mouth. This morning I learned that if I put the cap in my mouth Moo disappears, so now I just act like I am going to and start laughing hysterically at Mommy.

Here we are, my new friend and I sitting on my perch for a quick picture before we go out to the playground. I'm going for the clean-cut handsome look, but he always follows the trends. I think he is going for dumpster chic in this pic.

West Coast Friends, Neighborhood Wedding

Ralph and Anna flew out from the left coast to get married here in the city on Saturday. They are fans of my blog, so I wanted to look very handsome for their wedding. Here I am getting dressed for the special occasion.

I wanted to be well rested for the festivities, so I took a really good nap before the wedding. I was very nervous that we would be late, but managed to look pull my look together pretty quickly.

It was such a beautiful ceremony and I was so honored to be invited. I got a glimpse of the bride walking down the aisle and thought she looked amazing. Here is a snap of the newlyweds looking so happy!

After what happened at the last wedding I went to, I decided not to go to the reception. It looks like I missed a great time. Daddy couldn't believe how long Ralph and Anna were held up on their relatives shoulders for this dance! Can you spot them?


One of my goals was to get a picture with Ralph and Anna looking all fancy, but hunger got in my way, so I didn't get a chance to give them my best wishes. Daddy did a good job getting this picture with Ralph as they were shutting down the wedding.

Flashback Sundays

Last year this week we had our first cool days in the city and it started to feel like fall. Here is Mommy's first attempt at bundling me up...

Mommy and I were doing all these new classes in the fall and I was starting to get interested in so many new things. Here I am with my first favorite toy, Sophie La Girafe, there was just this...this...je ne sais quoi about her that I loved.

Mommy also got this brilliant idea to get me a Bumbo seat so I could sit and look out the window all day long. Not much has changed, now I like to stand on my perch and look out at the cars and pick out all the buses.

After Gymboree on Saturdays, we would have a picnic in the park and sometimes enjoy a nice lazy afternoon or walk with Daddy to work. Here is Mommy's attempt at a family portrait. I told her to stick to her day job.

My biggest accomplishment last year around this time was that I started to sit upright all by myself. It was a pretty exciting time for everyone. Here I am sitting on my own long enough for Mommy to capture it.

Happy & Healthy

After surviving a rough week, Mommy treated me with a trip to the zoo this morning. Not only did I feed the animals their food, I also happened to feed it to myself, much to Mommy's dismay. Here I am on the spider web again looking mighty healthy.

Getting Back to Normal

Today was my first day out and about since I got sick earlier this week. It was so nice to get some fresh air. Here I am this morning contemplating a tennis match with Mommy.

Mommy thought tennis would be a little too much activity for me, so we compromised on a mid-morning snack.

Thanks so much to all my friends who got in touch to check in on me. It was so nice of you guys to think of me. I missed playing with everyone this week and can't wait to see you all soon!

Missing Rainboots on a Rainy Day

Here's a clip of the T-Man and I stomping in a rain puddle before I was house bound. Today, I slept all day today and am finally starting to feel better. At this point I would happily do without snuggles in the big bed just to get back to normal.

Bad Ear, Good Spirits

Its been a rough couple of days for me so far. Yesterday morning I woke up feeling all out of sorts. I feel asleep in the middle of the living room, so Mommy took me to the doctor's office. This is the look I gave her when I found out that I have my first ear infection.

Elmo and my trusty pacifier have been helping me get through the tough moments. According to Mommy, we need all the help that we can get....

Aside from refusing all medicines and boycotting all foods, I have been in pretty good spirits. Since I have been such a trooper, Mommy has let some of the rules slide. My favorite indulgence has been taking all my naps snuggling with her in the big bed...its the best part of being sick.

Brooklyn....Again

On Saturday we took a field trip to Coney Island for some hot dogs and a visit to the aquarium. After an unexpected two hour subway ride, the first thing we did was have lunch. I was very excited to have my first Nathan's hot dog.

One of my favorite books is Pigeon Wants a Hot Dog, and Pigeon always gets my mouth watering with all his talk about hot dogs. I was not disappointed, it was everything I thought it would be. Daddy was not nearly as impressed as I was and is planning a trip to Chicago just to visit Weiner Circle.

After lunch we visited the aquarium. I had a great time looking at all the animals and fish in their tanks. I did get a little scared by a walrus, but really enjoyed watching the stingrays.

Flashback Sundays

You would never know it now, but last year at this time I couldn't get around on my own. I was pretty stuck most of the time. Tummy time was always a tortuous event for me and Mommy always made me practice for at least ten minutes. Here I am probably in the first five minutes because I haven't shown my displeasure yet.

I did like to practice standing up like a big boy though. It was a whole new perspective and I loved it. Here I am with Daddy showing off for the camera.

Around this time last year I started Gymboree twice a week, once with Mommy and once with Daddy. Here I am at my first class with a nervous Daddy. Mommy came along for moral support.

Before I was born and still in Mommy's belly, Na Tab had Mysterio predict what my future profession would be....According to him I will become a dog show judge, Miss Yai was hoping for doctor.

Taking Care of Business....All Week

Although I had a wonderful time in Greece, it is always nice to come home. I had a little trouble with jet lag on the first night, but I adjusted pretty quickly. It felt good to sleep in my own crib, play with my toys and see all my buds.

Mommy was very busy this week taking care of business, so we really didn't do much but go to the playground and catch up with our friends. It got so much cooler it got back home while I was away, I was shocked that I needed to pull out my sweaters!
