On Saturday we took a field trip to Coney Island for some hot dogs and a visit to the aquarium. After an unexpected two hour subway ride, the first thing we did was have lunch. I was very excited to have my first Nathan's hot dog.
One of my favorite books is
Pigeon Wants a Hot Dog, and Pigeon always gets my mouth watering with all his talk about hot dogs. I was not disappointed, it was everything I thought it would be. Daddy was not nearly as impressed as I was and is planning a trip to Chicago just to visit Weiner Circle.
After lunch we visited the aquarium. I had a great time looking at all the animals and fish in their tanks. I did get a little scared by a walrus, but really enjoyed watching the stingrays.
