Only One More Day...

Today I had another pre-Halloween celebration at William's house. Here is the man himself all suited up as a puppy wearing a bib and having a little snack. Thanks for such a great time William and Marci!

As most of you have guessed, I am Frankenstein this year. It looks like Mommy & Co. did a good job on my costume this year because some of my friends don't recognize me when I am all dressed up. Here I am reassuring William that I am not a monster, I'm not sure he was convinced.

I had so much fun catching up with Master Yoda who taught me all the jedi mind tricks he knew. Watch out Mommy.....

Not So Ordinary Day

Here is proof that I wear my new slippers all day long. First thing I ask for my dragons and cruise around the apt in them. As you can see, they give me great support for heavy lifting.

Today was a very special day because Miss Yai has come for a visit and just in time for Halloween. Five minutes after she arrived we went downtown for a little shopping. Here I am on the subway holding on like a big boy.

After our little shopping excursion we all went to lunch at Rickshaw for some dumplings, buns and noodles. Miss Yai was not impressed and thought she could do much better. Mommy and I are looking forward to some good food while she is here.

Rain, Rain Go Away

Another rainy day in the city meant another afternoon indoors. T-Man came over for some play and mac 'n cheese. I wasn't feeling particularly hungry, so I decided that I would feed him some bites from my bowl.

Here I am trying to figure out if his bowl had something extra tasty in it. Do you notice anything new in the picture?

Yup, that's right, I have new dragon slippers! I love them so much that I wear them all day long!

Party Circuit

Second stop on the party circuit was the T-Man's house, more friends, more costumes! Sara out did herself with mini-mummies, chocolate spiders and lots of Mommy food. Here is a peak at playgroup mayhem....

My friend Enzo has always had a thing for hair and my locks are typically not so flowing, so he was pretty excited to see me in my costume. Here he is checking out my faux hair and coming in for a closer touch to feel how real it felt.

The party was quite a rager for me since I went with only a 30 minute nap under my belt. Some people drink Red Bull to make it through the night, I went with my drink of choice, milk. I had the best time, thanks T-Man and Sara!

Pre-Party

My friend Blake decided to throw a Halloween pre-party at his house for playgroup today. Mommy put my game face on while I was in the stroller since it severely restricted my mobility. Looks like it worked...

Here I am with the rest of my costume on and ready to go....

Parties are always better in costume and this one did not disappoint! Thanks Blakester and Megan, I had such a good time!

Flashback Sundays

By the end of last October, the weather started to cool off a little more and I got my first winter hat. Here I am showing it off and having a couple giggles with Daddy in the park.

At around this time last year I discovered the swings in the playground and what a discovery it was. Here I am having one of my first swings and enjoying every minute of it.

Mommy was pretty anxious last year about starting me on real foods. She decided to get me prepared by having Daddy feed me milk with a spoon. I can't remember whether it was successful or not, but here I am using a spoon to drink. I know, its kinda funny.

Mommy couldn't help posting this picture of me napping with Lawrence le Lapin. He was my first best friend before I met and got to know Elmo.

Piece It Together

Halloween is next week, so Mommy has been in a scramble to get my costume put together all week long. Here I am wearing part one....

And here is part two. Can you guess.....or do you need more clues? Let me know and I'll see what I can do. Let's just say Mommy is still working hard on it and she is enlisting anyone who will help!

Turtle Crossing

We had a beautiful morning in the city today, so Mommy and I took full advantage of it. First we went to the playground for a little swinging and then walked over to the zoo with my friend Grace. We were all mesmerized by a turtle who was trying to get from one part of the pond to the other.

Doesn't that shell looks pretty heavy to pull up? I think he must workout a lot or be naturally fit, because you should have seen his turtle muscles. Mommy was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't scared of being so close to him.

And there he goes, off to the other side of the pond. After he slipped back into the water I waited around a little to make sure he was okay. I think he must have been going to visit some friends.

Graffiti

This morning I was feeling a little rebellious, so I decided to graffiti the apartment. If I had know that Mommy was okay with it, it probably would not have been so much fun.

I started with the window and then tagged all the furniture I could get to before Mommy could stop me. I am pretty sure that the window was okay, but the chair and sofa were not. I guess I got the last laugh this time.

Technical Difficulty

Mommy is experiencing some technical difficulties with her camera, so here are some pictures of me with the Alice in Wonderland statue. It was my first time sitting on the mushroom all by myself. Mommy was quite nervous and I was quite pleased.

Later that afternoon I was having so much fun watching the ducks swim back and forth that I wanted to join them. Looks like Mommy didn't think it was such a great idea. Hopefully she can straighten out her camera issues soon!

Comfy Cozy

Sunday morning was really yucky here in the city, but we had things to do. So, while Mommy braved the cold wind and rain, I was cozy and warm in my stroller bag. Although I am typically not a fan of the bubble, I dislike rain and wind even more, so the bubble worked out great for me.

After we finished all our errands we stopped at Bouchon Bakery for lunch as a treat. Here I am waiting patiently and admiring the view, while Mommy warmed back up.

Flashback Sundays

Look how much warmer it was last year! I was wearing a short-sleeved shirt and cotton overalls, and this year I'm wearing my cords and sweaters. I'm confused, is this how global warming works?

Anyway, here are some pictures of my first visit with my parents to the Met. last year. We had a little lunch in the cafe and then off the Daddy's favorite part, the modern wing.

Daddy was so excited to show me all his favorite paintings. We had such a great time.

Double Down

While Daddy is in Vegas enjoying the desert heat, I decided to double down on QT with Mommy. I think I may have got it wrong because it is abnormally cold here in the city this weekend. I guess you can't win them all, although I hope Daddy does. When I woke from my nap I went to my perch to see how bad it was outside.

It didn't look very pleasant outside from my view upstairs, so I told Mommy it might be a good day to stay in and make a mess of the house. Here I am enjoying snack no. 1 out of fifty and yes, I did ruin my dinner.

All Aboard

I've been practicing patience a lot this week and I think I'm getting better at it. Here I am waiting for the train to get moving at the playground.

I was getting a little ancy because I had places to go, so I decided to check and see what was going on...
Sitting and waiting again....

At this point I realized that the train was never going to move, so I tried to break out the window.

Thug Life

While Mommy was playing tennis in the park the other day, my friend Donna caught me in a thug-ish moment. I tried to give her the toughest look I have.

Pins & Needles

Halloween is coming up and after such a successful costume last year, Mommy has her work cut out for herself, literally. This year she is going the homemade route, which worries me because her only experience with needles and thread is needlepointing. Here we are in the fabric store looking for the perfect materials for my costume. Hopefully I don't look like a green mess...

The Great Pumpkin

Yesterday we took a road trip upstate in search of the Great Pumpkin. Daddy and I were on the look out when we saw pumpkin patch from the hayride. I was really excited to get pulled by a real tractor and ride in the trailer.

While Daddy was in search for the perfect pumpkin to carve jack-o-lanterns for Halloween, I was still trying to find the Great Pumpkin.

After no luck for me, the tractor picked us back up and we went to the dairy farm to see them milk the cows. Here I am making friends with a newborn calf. Although she was a little jumpy and frightened, she was my favorite.

The Mommies picked a great day for a trip to the country. It was so nice to be out of the city on such a gorgeous fall day. Here's a view of the valley below from Bellvale Creamery on Mt. Peter.

Flashback Sundays

Last year I made a lot of new friends at Gymboree class. Here we all are together for our first group picture. Mommy can't believe how little we were then. We are so sad that our friend Matthew moved away recently and that Daniel will be moving soon too!

I love fall in the city and last year we took full advantage of the wonderful fall weekends. Here we are having a picnic in the park.

Last year I was inspired by the Olympics in Beijing, so I started my gymnastics training early. Daddy said with all the age controversy last year, I may have been able to qualify....he is so silly sometimes.
