Bye, Bye Greece

My first trip to Greece was too short and I was very sad to leave everyone. If you would like to see an unfiltered album of our trip please check out the link below. I can't wait to go back very soon!

Greece Album

4am Wake-Up Call

Our flight back home left Athens at 7am, so we all started our day pretty early in the morning. We left our hotel at 4:15am to go to the airport. Mommy and Daddy were out until midnight, so it was a rough one for them. I did considerably well...at first.

I was still tired, but didn't manage to fall asleep on the car ride to the airport. So once we got to the airport things started to get a little dicey.

People were very worried when they saw/heard me in the waiting area. Here's a smart idea Daddy had to keep me happy and occupied while we waited for our flight.

Cats Away, Mouse Will Play...Until 10pm

When Mommy and Daddy went out for some fun they left me with Yiayia and Pappou at the hotel. I am not ashamed to admit that I took full advantage of the situation. I had some snacks.....

I played in the bathroom....

I jumped on the bed and talked about the lights until 10pm. It was my last night in Greece and I was having such a good time getting loved by Yiayia that I didn't want to sleep!

Happy, but Tired Newlyweds

The day after the wedding we all went to Yiayia Lena's for lunch. I was so surprised to see Theo Thomas and Thea Xara because they didn't leave the wedding until past 4am. They work a lot better with little sleep than I do.

I got to bed late, but slept in until 10am, so I was ready to for some fun. Here I am clowning around with Yiayia Lena and Theo Thomas.

By the end of lunch we all needed naps, but I think the newlyweds needed one way more than the rest of us.

Beautiful Wedding, Sleepy Baby

It was an amazing wedding, the bride was gorgeous. I made it through dinner before having to pack up my troops to head back home, which was pretty impressive given the wedding started at 8pm. Here I am very interested in the lanterns that lined the path up to the church.

I walked all the way up to the church to see what where Theo Thomas and Thea Xara would be married. It was all lit up with candles and looked so beautiful.

Since we got to the wedding early, Mommy and Daddy had a lot of time to keep me entertained. So we chatted with friends and family, did laps around the church and took some pictures.

When the wedding started, I was tired because I woke up early and had taken a pretty skimpy nap. Mommy lapped me around the church the whole ceremony, but I still didn't fall asleep. It seems that Yiayia had the magic touch right before the reception started. Here I am napping during dinner.

I ended up sleeping for a little over an hour, which wasn't enough because I woke up very cranky. My parents knew a meltdown was inevitable, so we left after dinner. Mommy removed me from the reception so I didn't embarrass myself.

Here I am looking like I could use a couple winks and waiting for our taxi to arrive.

Pre-Wedding Excitment

I didn't nap much that morning or afternoon because I was so excited for my first wedding. Yiayia Lena's house was hopping before Theo Thomas' wedding. Here's the groom and Theo Elias getting ready before the big event.

It was so exciting to meet all my relatives that Daddy always talks about. I was a little overwhelmed with all the attention that I was getting, but it was nice to get so much loving.

Here I am with Yiayia Lena all dressed up in my wedding outfit. I think I rocked the outfit pretty well, it was definitely my style.

Swim vs. Shop

While Daddy went for a swim in the sea with Theo Thomas before the wedding, I ending up shopping with Mommy and Yiayia. Although I love spending time with them, I would pick swimming over shopping every time. This is how I felt about the whole situation when I heard...

Thankfully, it wasn't as bad as it could have been. We went to a bookstore, where Mommy bought some books for Daddy to teach me Greek.

Call me psychic, but for some reason I think Greek school might be in my future. Here I am getting my first lesson from Yiayia.
